How To Access

1. Self-referral
Children, youth and families can self-refer to the Youth Wellness Centre by attending a Tuesday – Thursday drop-in between 1-6 pm.  (does not include access to the youth psychiatrist)

2. Physician referral
With a referral from your family physician, youth can see the youth psychiatrist for a mental health assessment.

Visiting The Wellness Centre

Your visit to the Youth Wellness Centre is confidential. Information about your visit will only be shared with others with your consent; however, if the youth advocate or family doctor is concerned that you or someone else is in immediate danger, they are required by law to contact the authorities.

Mental health disorders are the leading health issue for children and youth

1 in 5 children and youth will be affected by mental illness – that’s 4,000 young people living in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows that might need the support offered through the Youth Wellness Centre.
